NORTHSTAR is royal’s brand-new single from his upcoming project of the same name. i’ve always enjoyed royal’s music, but this track stood out to me in a special way. it carries that unmistakable coming-of-age energy. it captures the feeling of being on the brink of something great, striving toward your goals while still feeling just out of reach.

i also feel personally aligned with the song’s message. if i remember correctly, it’s dedicated to his family, and just a week before its release, i shared my own family-centered track, “Girl,” dedicated to my amazing sister ayanna. family can be the biggest source of support and one of the brightest lights in this dark chaotic world. that’s why NORTHSTAR resonates with me so deeply.

royal and i discovered eachother sometime last year. constantly giving eachother support whenever we can, to this day to be exact. aside from being a charismatic, funny, healing, and kind spirit, royal is a true star in the making. using his experiences and gifts to spread positivity and light around the world through his music, funny tiktok vids, and overall personality. seeing him grow, reach new heights, and bringing his fans/supporters along for the ride is truly inspiring and beautiful. 2026 will definitely be a new milestone and height for this here northstar.
